Huizenga Supports Tax Relief to Boost Economy & Help Michigan Families
Washington,
January 31, 2024
Tonight, Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-MI) voted in support of the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act. This bipartisan legislation passed the House by a vote of 357 to 70. “This bipartisan legislation delivers meaningful relief for families and small businesses who are still reeling from the high prices caused by inflation,” said Congressman Bill Huizenga. “This legislation increases the value of the child tax credit and eliminates the penalty that existed for larger families. This will help keep more money in the pockets of parents in Southwest Michigan and across the nation. “Additionally, this pro-growth legislation restores full R&D expensing, increased expensing for small businesses, and interest deductibility. I have heard from job creators large and small across Southwest Michigan about how truly crucial these reforms are to strengthen our economy and create jobs. I am glad to see a strong bipartisan vote to boost our economy and create good-paying jobs.” |
