Huizenga Celebrates Citizenship with 295 New Americans in Kalamazoo

Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-04) released the following statement after participating in a naturalization ceremony at Western Michigan University that celebrated 295 individuals from around the globe becoming American citizens. “This is truly a special day,” said Congressman Bill Huizenga. “Congratulations to everyone who made the decision to become an American citizen. It was wonderful to see the joy on the faces of the newly minted citizens as well as their friends and family. This was a great day for Kalamazoo, Southwest Michigan, and our nation.” The new American citizens hail from 67 countries and will now reside across Western Michigan. After the Oath of Allegiance, the new citizens were excited to meet with Congressman Huizenga and share their journey of becoming Americans.
