Huizenga: President Biden’s Veto Makes it Harder for Americans to Save for Retirement

Today, Congressmen Bill Huizenga (R-MI), Chairman of the House Financial Services Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee and head of the Republican ESG Working Group, released the following statement after President Biden vetoed legislation to overturn the Department of Labor’s ESG Rule.

“With this veto, President Biden is making it more difficult for Americans to retire with financial security,” said Congressman Bill Huizenga. “This ESG mandate is not voluntary, does not prioritize materiality, and fails to maximize returns. President Biden is putting his far-left social agenda ahead of the hard-earned retirement savings of Americans.”
