Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-MI), released the following statement after he was presented with the Guardian of Small Business Award by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). Congressman Huizenga received this award based on his voting record in support of small business. 



“Small businesses are the engine of economic growth across Michigan,” said Congressman Bill Huizenga. “As a third-generation small business owner myself, I understand how difficult soaring inflation, rising input costs, and labor challenges have been for local job creators. That is why I have worked to rein in Washington’s out of control spending that is fueling inflation and pushed back against regulatory overreach from the federal government. Too many in Washington fail to realize the negative impact that Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi’s tax, spend, and regulatory agenda truly has on small businesses in Michigan. Our communities need strong and healthy small businesses and I am honored to be recognized for standing up for the individuals who fuel our economy.”
