Huizenga Talks Inflation, President Biden's Failed Agenda on Fox Business

Last night, Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-MI) joined “Fox Business Tonight” to discuss the latest actions by the Federal Reserve to combat inflation and how President Biden’s failed economic policies are raising costs on families in Michigan and across America. You can watch the Congressman's full interview by clicking the photo below.

On Inflation and The Federal Reserve Raising Interest Rates

Thankfully, Chair Powell has finally dropped the transitory part of the analysis. Interestingly enough, two weeks ago, now Secretary Yellen still used that word, "transitory" when she was describing inflation in a hearing in our room, and you could just like literally see, Chair Powell kind of scooch away from her. Because I don't think he wants to be associated anymore with what this administration is trying to sell

It's been in private meetings and it's been in public comments that many of us in the House of Representatives and in the Senate, I know, you had Senator Kennedy on earlier tonight, and we've been talking about this. You can't keep the Fed's pedal just mashed to the floor on the economy because at some point, you don't have any tools left when there really is a problem. We're finding ourselves in this spot now. Many people and many economists believe that they're behind the curve, and it's going to be more painful trying to catch up.

On President Biden's Failed Agenda Both Domestically and Internationally

Here is what I'd like to say to President Biden. Okay, bub, why don't you curl up on the chesterfield, turn on the wireless, and get ready for some news that's coming because it does not look good for the Democrats. It looks very good for the Republicans. And here is why.

The Biden Administration has been hurting Americans here domestically at home as well as internationally. You look at gas prices, grocery prices, car prices, inflation is running rampant, or nearly so. Obviously, the guy that was touted as an expert in Foreign Affairs has flubbed it, whether it's with France, whether it's in Afghanistan, whether it's with Korea, whether it's with China, Japan, you name it. We've had some real damage done.
