Huizenga: President Biden Funding International Abortion is Not A Unifying Decision
Washington,
January 28, 2021
Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) released the following statement after President Biden signed an executive order repealing a ban on funding international organizations that provide or promote abortion around the globe. This is more commonly known as the Mexico City Policy. The signing of this life-ending executive order comes the day before the March for Life, and the day after a Marist Poll found 77% of Americans do not support funding international abortion. “President Biden told the American people he wants to unify the country,” said Congressman Bill Huizenga. “President Biden’s appalling decision to sign this executive order isn’t unifying, it is life-ending. Taxpayer dollars should not be used to end the lives of children in America or across the globe. While polling continues to show that over three quarters of Americans reject funding international abortion using taxpayer dollars, President Biden has made it a priority to sign this awful executive order the day before the March for Life. These are not unifying actions Mr. President.” |
