WZZM: One Good Thing: Congressional Art Competition winners

Rep. Huizenga recently announced Megan Johnson's "The Hand is Home" as the winner. Johnson is a junior at West Ottawa. Her piece will now hang in the U.S. Capitol for a year alongside winners from the rest of the country.

Two other pieces will hang in Huizenga's congressional offices for a year.  There were 70 submissions from all over West Michigan this year.

Johnson will now get the chance to travel to D.C. for her piece's unveiling next month.

Any time we as a society can highlight the creative works of our young people, we should. The 2019 Congressional Art Competition and everyone who took part gets today's One Good Thing.
