On Friday, Congressman Huizenga hosted the second annual Huizenga Youth Leadership Summit. Nearly 200 juniors from 33 West Michigan area high schools attended the summit that was held on the campus of Grand Valley State University in Allendale. 

The half-day event is designed to provide students with the opportunity to speak with and hear from Congressman Huizenga and West Michigan leaders while exploring what characteristics and qualities will help future leaders succeed in both their personal lives as well as their post high school endeavors.

Prior to the summit, Congressman Huizenga sat down in studio with FOX 17's Mike Avery and Deanna Falzone to discuss the importance of encouraging students to think about their future and engaging in their community. 

Following the Youth Leadership Summit, Congressman Huizenga posted several photos from the event on Facebook and discussed the positive dialogue and impact the discussion provided for the next generation of West Michigan leaders.
