ADVISORY: Huizenga to Headline Small Business Job Creation Event in Grand Rapids on Friday

On Friday, October 7th, Congressman Huizenga will be the featured speaker at the Bring Small Businesses Back Event hosted by the Job Creators Network (JCN) at the Knickerbocker in Grand Rapids. Congressman Huizenga will discuss the critical role small businesses play in both the economy here in West Michigan and across the nation. Equally, Rep. Huizenga will also address how overtaxation, overregulation, and a lack of access to credit disproportionately hurts small business, slows economic growth, and limits job creation.

Job Creators Network President and CEO Alfredo Ortiz will discuss JCN’s Bring Small Businesses Back effort and how it is designed to help policymakers and the public at large better understand the challenges facing small business owners. Additionally, West Michigan small business leaders Ted Vaughn, owner of Tolman’s Wholesale Meats in Hudsonville, and Johnny Brann Jr., owner of Kitchen 67 and Brann’s Restaurants in Grand Rapids will participate in a panel discussion on the challenges of being an entrepreneur in the current regulatory environment.

Registration begins at 9:30 A.M. with the event itself getting underway at 10:00 A.M. The Knickerbocker is located at 417 Bridge St. NW in Grand Rapids.
