Huizenga Votes to Provide Tax Relief for Hardworking Michiganders
Washington,
December 17, 2015
Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga released the following statement after voting in support of the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act:
“Whether it is a small business owner in Kentwood, an apple grower in Hart, or a school teacher in Muskegon, this legislation finally provides West Michigan residents with the tax certainty they have been asking for. Because of the PATH Act: educators will be able to deduct what they spend in their own classrooms; seniors will be able to donate from their IRA to charitable organizations without being penalized by the IRS; small businesses and farmers will have the tax certainty they need to invest, innovate, and create jobs. “The PATH Act is a positive step forward, but we cannot stop here. We must continue to fight for pro-growth tax reform that will not only improve our economy, but also strengthen the bottom lines of hardworking families throughout West Michigan and across the nation.” |
