Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) released the following statement after President Obama announced his rejection of the Keystone XL Pipeline.
“This announcement comes as no surprise. It’s clear President Obama and his Administration had no intention of ever allowing the Keystone XL Pipeline to be built. Despite clear evidence that the pipeline would have created important infrastructure jobs, spurred economic activity, and furthered North American energy security, the Obama Administration continued to mire its application in red tape and delay a final decision for seven long years. Today’s announcement is emblematic of the entire Obama Presidency - politics before policy.” |
