Huizenga Chaired Subcommittee To Examine Fed Reform Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Congressman Huizenga will chair a Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee hearing examining proposals to reform the Federal Reserve. The hearing will include a vigorous discussion on Congressman Huizenga's legislation to reform the Federal Reserve.  This legislation is currently in draft form and has not been officially introduced. A copy of the fed reform discussion text is available here. This hearing will be a continuation of the committee's work to make "the Fed" more transparent as well as more accountable to the American people.

Last week, Chairman Huizenga discussed the need for the Fed to develop a rules-based approach to monetary policy as well as other necessary reforms regarding how the Federal Reserve operates.

Rep. Huizenga's opening remarks as well as his discussion with Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen are available to watch below.
