Huizenga Honors Veterans At Grand Valley State University

On Monday, Congressman Huizenga was involved in multiple ceremonies to honor the brave men and women who served our nation. In the morning, Congressman Huizenga attended the dedication of the Student Veterans' Lounge at Grand Valley State University. The lounge will be available for veterans to meet, study, and share their experiences from their time in the military. Following the dedication, Grand Valley President Thomas J. Haas announced GVSU will begin offering in-state tuition to veterans no matter where they have established residency.
 At the event, Congressman Huizenga applauded GVSU's commitment to active duty military and veterans adding, "we want our veterans coming to Michigan and staying in Michigan." 24 Hour News 8 also covered both the dedication and the tuition announcement. |
