Huizenga: Republicans Continue To Negotiate While Senate Democrats Refuse To Come To The Table
Washington,

Grand Rapids, Mich. (WZZM) - Reaction from Michigan lawmakers mirrors the divide between republican and democrats on the shutdown.
Republicans say the GOP controlled house intends to pass legislation to reopen portions of the government, including national parks and processing claims at the Veteran Affairs Department. That's a strategy Lakeshore Congressman Bill Huizenga revealed to WZZM 13's Lee Van Ameyde in a conversation over the phone earlier today. "I think what you are going to see is us going back in to fund various parts of the government and we will see again what the Senate is going to do with that." President Obama has accused House Republicans of refusing to negotiate something Huizenga says isn't true, "We've done nothing but negotiate, move our positions; they are refusing to do so."
