Huizenga: It's Time For The Senate To Stop Watching The Train Wreck Happen
Washington,
September 20, 2013
Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) released the following statement after voting in support of keeping the federal government operating while defunding ObamaCare:
"It is time for Senate Democrats to go on the record and tell the American people where they stand on ObamaCare. Despite the barrage of reports warning how the Administration has missed numerous deadlines, how privacy measures are not up to standards, and how health care premiums are projected to soar upwards causing companies across the nation to drop coverage for their employees, ObamaCare is still scheduled to be implemented in less than two weeks even though everyone knows it's not functional. Even the chief architect of ObamaCare and top tax writer in the Senate, Max Baucus, has called its implementation a 'huge train wreck' and he's right. "For these reasons and countless more, the House has again taken action to protect the American people from the negative impacts of ObamaCare. It is time for the Senate to stop watching the train wreck happen and vote to defund ObamaCare." |
