White Lake Beacon: Reeths-Puffer places sixth out of over 4,400 teams in financial competition

Reeths-Puffer financial planning team invited to Washington D.C. to meet with Congressman Huizenga, due to placing sixth in the competition.
White Lake Beacon - June 17, 2013 A team of Reeths-Puffer High School students who placed sixth in a national finance competitions matching them with their U.S. Representtative or Senator, has earned the opportunity to meet with Congressman Bill Huizenga in Washington D.C. this week. Recently, the Reeths-Puffer High School students competed in the Capitol Hill Challenge, a nationwide online competition created by the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, more commonly known as SIFMA. The Capitol Hill Challenge (CHC) is a special edition of The Stock Market Gameā¢ (SMG) program that matches members of Congress with students, teachers, and schools benefiting from SMG in their respective district or state. Since its inception in 2004, CHC has engaged Representatives and Senators with more than 45,000 students across the country. The program takes place every spring with student teams managing a hypothetical online portfolio and investing in real stocks, bonds and mutual funds. Read more over at the White Lake Beacon HERE |
