Huizenga Statement On Being Sworn In To The 113th Congress
Washington,
January 3, 2013
Congressman Huizenga released the following statement after being sworn in to represent Michigan's Second Congressional District in the 113th Congress: "It is both an honor and a privilege to serve West Michigan. I look forward to meeting with new constituents and traveling to the communities that are now included in the Second District. As a freshman, I had several legislative successes including: having legislative language adopted protecting life, preserving Coast Guard helicopter coverage for Lake Michigan and having legislation reforming Dodd-Frank signed into law. I hope to continue this success in the 113th Congress by moving legislation that reins in Washington's out of control spending, promotes economic growth, and helps create an environment for private sector job creation." Congressman Huizenga's district office locations have changed. The new district offices will be located in Grand Haven and Grandville.
