Health Care
Today marks the two-year anniversary of the Health Care Law's passage. Next week, the Supreme Court will debate the Constitutionality of the Health Care law's individual mandate. U.S. Rep. Bill Huizenga, who has voted 26 times to repeal, defund, or dismantle the health care law in its entirety or some of its worst provisions, said: "This is not an anniversary anyone, even President Obama, wants to celebrate. The White House is ignoring it today because they know a majority of Americans want it repealed. Taxpayers are upset that then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid made their chambers 'pass the bill to find out what was in it,' and the simple truth of what is in it is: It spends more, raises hard-working taxpayers' health care costs, specifically threatens seniors' access to health care by cutting $500 billion from Medicare, and this administration has used it as an affront on religious freedom by including - of all things - a mandate that taxpayer dollars pay for abortions. I know that my West Michigan constituents and I stand together in sincerely hoping the Supreme Court sides with America against this forced government intrusion into our lives. I and my House colleagues will not stop fighting until we can fully repeal the mess that is ObamaCare." |
