U.S. Reps. Bill Huizenga, MI-02, Barney Frank, MA-04, Jim Sensenbrenner, WI-5, Carolyn Maloney, NY-14, Walter B. Jones, Jr., NC-3, and Howard Coble, NC-6, are hosting a bipartisan press conference TODAY at 2:30 p.m. to announce their legislation that will once again allow local job creators - especially manufacturers and service industries - to compete on equal footing for contracts with the federal government.

The Representatives will be joined by small business representatives from across America that will offer first-hand anecdotes about why this bill is important to help job growth on the local level. Currently co-sponsored by 12 bipartisan members of the U.S. House and supported by 10 business organizations, this legislation, H.R. 3634, gives the taxpayer the greatest value for their hard-earned money by forcing federal agencies to bid for fair and reasonable prices and for products that best suit their needs. Industries across America are affected, including clothing, textiles, office furniture, custom engraving, heavy equipment remanufacturing, as well as call centers and help desk support.
