Today, the House and U.S. Rep. Bill Huizenga, MI-02, passed H.R. 2587, “The Protect Jobs From Government Interference Act,” cutting another layer of red tape away from America’s business owners. H.R. 2587 closes a loophole in the National Labor Relations Act that allowed the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to order employers to close or relocate their workplaces, threatening jobs and business growth nationwide.
"This is an example of an easy way for the government to get out of the way and give certainty to America’s businesses, and help them create jobs, without spending a dime of taxpayer money. It’s just these kinds of actions West Michigan entrepreneurs and innovators told me they wanted to see Congress undertake. I hope the Senate will quickly pass this bill and send it on to the President.” To see the House’s job creation plan, please click here.
