Huizenga Legislation to Sanction Iran, Cut off Terrorism Funding Passes U.S. House

Tonight, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 5921, legislation introduced by Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-MI) that is designed to hold Iran accountable as well as limit the Iranian regime’s ability to finance terrorism and attack Israel. Passage of this bipartisan bill follows Iran’s assault over the weekend on Israel, a key U.S. ally.  H.R. 5921, called the No U.S. Financing for Iran Act, passed the House with a bipartisan vote of 294-105.

“Tonight, the House took decisive action,” said Congressman Bill Huizenga. “The No U.S. Financing for Iran Act will help cut off Iran’s ability to finance terrorism. I am proud to lead this bipartisan effort to protect Americans, stand up for Israel, and hold the Iranian regime accountable for their actions.”

Prior to the vote, Huizenga spoke on the House floor to discuss the importance of the No U.S. Financing for Iran Act. Video of Huizenga’s remarks are available below.
