WWMT: West Michigan congressman tells constituents: 'Do not go away on spring break'

Put those vacations on hold, U.S. Rep. Bill Huizenga told constituents Friday during a telephone town hall meeting.

Members of Congress have stopped holding town halls in front of their constituents because of the COVID 19 virus, but they've been taking questions, and holding telephone conferences. Huizenga hosted one Friday, March 20, 2020. He said thousands listened in over the phone and on the internet, and every question was about the COVID 19 crisis.

"It might tick a few of you off, but do not go away on spring break," Huizenga said. "Please, this is not a time to go on vacation."
