Huizenga to host service academy info session in Grand Haven

Congressman Bill Huizenga will be hosting an information session on Saturday (May 11th) for West Michigan high school students who are interested in attending a U.S. service academy.

It will take place at the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Field Office Grand Haven, 650 S. Harbor Ave., from 9-10:30 a.m.

Liaisons from the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and U.S. Coast Guard Academy will be on hand to provide information and answer questions that students or parents may have regarding the service academy process.

“West Michigan is known by our service academies for having highly skilled and talented future leaders who are interested in serving our nation,” said Huizenga, R-Zeeland. “Saturday’s information session provides both students and their families with a unique opportunity to hear directly from the academies and learn more about what these incredible institutions have to offer.”
