Huizenga Supports Bipartisan Legislation To Boost Troop Pay, Strengthen Military
Washington,
May 18, 2016
Tonight, Congressman Bill Huizenga released the following statement after the House passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) by a vote of 277 to 147:
“House passage of the National Defense Authorization Act is a strong bipartisan step toward closing the military readiness gap, modernizing the vastly outdated acquisitions process, and giving our troops a much deserved pay raise. Additionally, this important legislation prevents the President from closing Guantanamo and relocating terrorists to the United States. By threatening to veto this bipartisan legislation, President Obama is putting his own political agenda ahead of the lives of our men and women in uniform and our national security.” |
