Huizenga Announces 2015 Congressional Art Competition

Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga announced the start of the 2015 Congressional Art Competition for high school students across the Second District.

"The Congressional Art Competition is an excellent platform for young artists to challenge themselves and explore their artistic ability as well as their creativity,” said Huizenga. “Students from across West Michigan have impressed thousands of visitors to the U.S. Capitol with their artwork and I cannot wait to see what this year’s competition has in store.”

The deadline to submit entries for the 2015 Congressional Art Competition is April 17, 2015. Each student may only submit one entry to Congressman Huizenga’s Office located at 4555 Wilson Ave. SW in Grandville.

Finalists will be selected by a panel of area design professionals and will be honored at an event with Congressman Huizenga where the winning entry will be announced.  The winning entry will be displayed in an exhibit in the U.S. Capitol. Second and third place entries will be displayed in Congressman Huizenga’s District Offices in Grand Haven and Grandville.
