Huizenga: Hobby Lobby Decision Is A Victory For Religious Freedom

Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) released the following statement on the Supreme Court's decision regarding Burwell vs. Hobby Lobby: "Today's decision validates concerns that the Obama Administration has been attempting to force Americans to violate their deeply held religious beliefs. The notion that religious freedom applies to some, but not others, runs counter to the First Amendment. Observing and protecting religious freedom has been a cornerstone of our nation since its foundation. The Supreme Court's decision stands as a victory for religious freedom. Furthermore, it provides yet another important check on an Administration that desires to increase the federal government's role in the day to day lives of Americans and force them to contend with unnecessary government mandates." |
