Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) released the following statement after President Obama signed legislation into law protecting access to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

"Today marks the end of a long but successful journey to protect and preserve public access to Sleeping Bear Dunes for future generations. This legislative solution would not have happened without the tireless efforts of local citizens taking the initiative to get involved. I want to congratulate my friend and colleague Congressman Dan Benishek and Senator Carl Levin on this bipartisan success that benefits not only visitors to the park but residents of the communities surrounding Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore as well."
