Huizenga Talks Defunding ObamaCare, Government Funding on WOOD Radio

Republican Congressman Bill Huizenga told WOOD Radio he wants Democrats to agree on peeling back elements of the Affordable Care Act.

"It's too expensive, it doesn't work, and it's actually going to end up in the long run making our health care system worse, not better."

As for some disagreement among Republicans about whether or not to use the continuing resolution to try defunding Obamacare, Rep. Huizenga said that conflict is over tactics, not over the GOP's goals.

"What we do know, though, is that there are significant divisions between Republicans and the Democrats as to our philosophies overall, as to what the government should and shouldn't be doing and the size of it."
