This afternoon, Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) took to the House floor to express his support for a National World War I Monument on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. and to honor the late Frank Buckles, who was the last surviving World War I Veteran.
"It is just fitting and timely that we finally say thank you and recognize this group of men who fought a terrible war. Who fought a war that so many had hoped would be the war to end all wars, but unfortunately we know that isn't the case," said Huizenga. "This is an important statement for us and a fitting tribute to that generation." View Congressman Huizenga's Remarks HERE |
