U.S. Rep. Bill Huizenga, MI-02, will attend the public ribbon cutting for West Michigan Homes for Heroes THIS Monday at 2 p.m. at the U.S.S. LST 393 in downtown Muskegon. Members of the public and the media are invited and encouraged to attend the ceremony.
West Michigan Homes for Heroes is a 501(c)(3) public organization that provides or coordinates financial assistance and housing resources to workforce “HEROES” buying or selling a home in the West Michigan Area including Ottawa, Muskegon, Oceana, and Mason Counties. “HEROES” include but are not limited to teachers, firefighters, public safety officers, health care workers, military personnel, border patrol and coast guard. The program was created after the tragic events of 9/11 as a “thank you” to men and women who have served their country and communities.
