Thank you to both Christian from Holland and Kenneth from Zeeland for your hard work this semester serving West Michigan. I hope your internship in Washington D.C. was insightful and enjoyable. I wish you both the best as you look ahead to your senior year!
As West Michigan residents, we take pride in our community and work together to make it an even better place to live, work, and raise a family. On Saturday, April 28th from 10 AM until 2 PM, we have another opportunity to strengthen West Michigan by participating in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Local law enforcement and medical professionals are teaming up to provide a safe and responsible way to dispose of excess prescription drugs and raise awareness of the opioid crisis. If you have out of date medications that you would like to turn in, please visit DEATakeback.com for a list of locations across West Michigan
This afternoon I had a wide-ranging town hall style conversation with students at North Muskegon and Reeths Puffer on improving school safety, strengthening mental health care, and combating gun violence. Thank you to the students at both schools for your engaging questions!
This afternoon I joined the White Lake Chamber to give a legislative update on tax reform, protecting the Great Lakes, and my work on the House Committee on Financial Services. Thanks to Arconic for hosting today’s meeting!
