Upcoming Town Hall Events:

Following Labor Day weekend, I have scheduled two additional town hall meetings.  The first will take place on Tuesday September 3rd from noon until 1:15 pm in Newaygo at The Stream.   The Stream is located at 1 State Rd in downtown Newaygo.   This is a different style of meeting which I am calling a "Brown Bag with Bill." The goal is to create a unique group setting where we can have a free flowing question and answer session over the lunch break period. If you would prefer not to pack a lunch, that is totally OK. (It's not required to participate)

Additionally, I will be holding a more traditional town hall style meeting in Jenison on September 4th at Sunset Manor.  The event will kick off at 2:30 and run for approximately an hour.  Sunset Manor is located at 725 Baldwin Street in Jenison.

We had a great turn out for the town hall in Zeeland on the 13th - take a look!

If you live near Newaygo or Jenison mark it on your calendar.  I hope you will stop by!

What's Happening In West Michigan:

Throughout the month of August I have been traveling around the district to meet with constituents, local leaders, and job creators to discuss what they would like to see out of Washington.  Here are a few examples of where I have been and what I have been discussing:
  • This week I sat down with WZZM's Lee Van Ameyde for a wide ranging discussion on Syria, the NSA, ObamaCare, Detroit, and what I am doing in Washington to help West Michigan.  Watch the full interview HERE.
  • Yesterday, I took part in "Start Up America" Day by meeting with innovators and entrepreneurs at Start Garden in Grand Rapids.  Throughout the afternoon we discussed how the federal government can enact tax and regulatory reform to create an environment for private sector expansion and growth to flourish.  Watch WOOD TV 8's coverage of the event HERE.
  • Earlier this month, I toured Whitehall Industries to listen and learn what issues Michigan manufacturers are facing.  After touring the facility I discussed what I had learned with 9&10 News. Watch the newscast HERE.
