Balancing your budget to make sure you don't spend more than you take in each year is a common sense principle practiced by most West Michigan families, small businesses, and 49 of the states. But not the federal government - yet. Tomorrow, the House will vote on a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, requiring Congress balance the federal budget each year.
