Huizenga: Dem Funding Bill Promotes Abortion, Fails to Properly Fund Border Security

Tonight, Congressman Bill Huizenga released the following statement after voting against the Democrats' unserious legislation that fails to properly address border security.
Across the globe it is estimated that nearly 41 million lives were lost to abortion last year alone. House Democrats have included language in their continuing resolution that would cause this horrible number to rise even further by repealing the Mexico City Policy. Taxpayer dollars should not be used to end the lives of innocent children here in the United States or abroad. Additionally, these resolutions grow bureaucracy and prioritize non-essential programs while failing to properly secure our border. For these reasons I voted no. |
