Huizenga Votes to Improve Health Care for Veterans, Strengthen VA Hiring Practices

Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga released the following statement after voting in support of the VA Choice and Quality Employment Act of 2017 which passed the House by a vote of 414-0.
“The VA Choice program has helped veterans in West Michigan, and across the nation, receive timely care in their community. This bipartisan bill is another step forward in the effort to strengthen the VA CHOICE Program, reform the VA, and ensure our veterans receive the high-quality care they deserve. Lastly, this important legislation enhances the recruitment, training, and retention of VA employees as well as authorizes the lease for the VA facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan.” |
