Huizenga to Join Holland Community in Honoring Staff Sgt. Andrew Seif, West Michigan Veterans

On Wednesday, Congressman Huizenga (MI-02) will join students, faculty, and members of the community to honor West Michigan veterans at West Ottawa High School. The event kicks off at 8 AM with a veterans’ breakfast followed by an assembly to honor the men and women who have served in our nation’s armed forces.
The ceremony will include a special tribute to Staff Sergeant Andrew Seif, a graduate of West Ottawa High School, who tragically lost his life earlier this year in a training accident. In 2013, Sgt. Seif was named Marine of the Year by the USO and was awarded the Silver Star, prior to his death, for his service in Afghanistan as a member of the Marine Special Operations Command. Gunnery Sergeant David Pizana, who served with Sgt.
