Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) issued the following statement regarding the ongoing conflict in Gaza and his support for Israel: "Since seizing control of Gaza in 2007, Hamas has created a haven for terrorists to launch countless attacks against Israel. There is no question that Israel is well within its right to defend itself against these acts of terror. This is another opportunity for President Obama to show America's support for our ally Israel and stand firm against those who wish for the violence to continue in the Middle East. I join the bipartisan call for Palestinians to abandon these extremists who are working against peace." |
