Huizenga On National Jobs Report: Michigan Deserves Better

Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (MI-02) issued the following statement on the national jobs report for September:

"While this reduction in the unemployment rate is welcome news, the fact remains more aggressive bipartisan pro-growth solutions are needed to get the economy growing and help get Americans back to work. Today's jobs report brings to light we are months, if not years, behind where the Obama Administration told us we would be if the President's $833 billion economic stimulus was enacted. For nearly four years we have seen President Obama put forward an economic agenda that focuses on higher taxes and increased regulation. These policies have resulted in anemic growth, less investment and more uncertainty causing countless Americans across the country to give up looking for work. The bottom line is 7.8% unemployment is not something to celebrate. We were promised better by the Obama Administration and Michigan deserves better."
